Cass County Regional Neighbors Helping Neighbors community clean-up
This year, the District 5M9 Lions and Faith in Action for Cass County are teaming up to host the first annual Cass County Neighbors Helping Neighbors Community Clean-up Event. The areas of focus for 2026 are: Backus/Pine River, Crosslake, Hackensack, and Emily/Outing/50 Lakes.
On Saturday, May 16th, dedicated volunteers will be ready to assist local residents with non-professional projects that need to be “spruced up” for Spring. Some non-professional service projects will include raking leaves, picking up trash, brush trimming, small painting projects, clearing debris from buildings and homes, and shredding paper.
Local Cass County residents can request assistance with clean-up projects by registering their project by e-mail or by contacting your local Lions Clubs and/or Faith in Action.
The community clean-up needs volunteers; if you would like to pitch in and get a bit of exercise, please join us. Project hours are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with lunch provided. Garbage bags will be provided. Volunteers should bring work gloves, rakes, loppers, grippers, and any other lawn/cleanup tools, if possible.
