Animal Care Supplies Swap co-hosted by Happy Dancing Turtle
Local non-profit Happy Dancing Turtle is co-hosting a swap featuring craft supplies from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 11, at the Happy Dancing Turtle office on the Hunt Utilities Group Resilient Living Campus, 2331 Dancing Wind Rd SW in Pine River.
“As pet owners, we may have experienced the frustration when our furry friend does NOT love the item we offered them—whether that’s food, an accessory, or a toy. Or maybe you are now a former pet owner and have stuff that needs a new home,” said Jenny Hill, Happy Dancing Turtle staff and one of the organizers. “This is a no-money event, so it is a useful way to pass along gently used items. Let’s reuse what we no longer want and reduce trash.”
At this no-cost event, participants may take items for free. You do not need to drop off items in order to take other items. Only items suitable for dogs, cats, or other furry pets will be accepted. Visit https://bit.ly/AnimalCareSwap for a full list of items that will be part of the swap and for the schedule of when items will be accepted for drop-off.
This event is co-hosted with Companions and Animals for Reform and Equity, America’s first national Black, Indigenous, and People of Color Animal Welfare organization. Those living in the Bemidji, Laporte & Walker areas may arrange for pickup of their swap items by making an appointment. See the event link above for details. If you have questions about the event, please contact Jenny Hill at [email protected] or 218-587-2303.
