   Five locally owned Minnesota breweries along the Highway 371 corridor between Baxter and Walker are teaming up for a month-long celebration of one of craft beer’s most beloved styles. The collaborative event, dubbed “Stouterday,” will take place every Saturday in March and highlights the camaraderie and cooperation among area breweries.

   Participating breweries include Jack Pine Brewery in Baxter, Big Axe Brewing in Nisswa, Snarky Loon Brewing Company in Jenkins, Rendezvous Brewing in Hackensack, and Portage Brewing in Walker. The event invites beer enthusiasts to travel the scenic corridor while sampling a variety of stout beers at each stop.

   To participate, customers can pick up a Stouterday card at any of the five breweries. Throughout March, visitors will receive $1 off a full pour of stout and a stamp on their card at each location. Those who collect a stamp from each of the five breweries can enter their completed card into a drawing at one of the breweries for a chance to win a prize.

   Stouts, known for their dark color, creamy texture and rich, roasted flavor are particularly popular during the colder months. Brewed with roasted barley and malt, stouts offer a thicker body than many traditional ales and a balanced bitterness from hops and roasted grains. The term “stout” originally meant “strong” or “brave,” a fitting description for those willing to sample multiple varieties along the route.

   Organizers encourage residents and visitors alike to gather friends, plan a couple of Saturday road trips and experience the unique stout offerings at each of the participating breweries throughout March 2026. Enjoy Stouterday at your local brewery!
