The Storm hosted their second conference matchup of the season Mon., Sept. 22 at Northland. The first set, saw the Storm coming out flat and making small errors, which led to a Nashwauk two point win.
Fortunately, the Storm was able to turn it around and go on to take the next three sets comfortably. Scores for the four sets were 23-25; 25-14; 25-12 and 25-16.
Stat leaders for the evening were: Charity Berg with nine kills, 18 digs and three ace serves; Ashlyn Schwarz with eight kills and six blocks; Nora Wake with seven kills, two blocks and ten digs; Maddie Barnes with 33 digs and one ace serve and Taylor Washburn with two ace serves and 22 set assists.
Saturday, Sept. 27 saw the ladies travel to Bigfork for their annual tournament, results will be published next week. Tuesday, Sept. 30 the Storm will be hosting Mount Iron-Buhl in Hill City. Also, on this night the ladies will be conducting a Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser by auctioning off gift baskets and having a split the pot duck toss. Make sure to put on your pink and come out to support the ladies and donate to this great cause. Monday, Oct. 6 will see the ladies travel to Cherry and then to Bigfork again on Tuesday, Oct. 7 before hosting their final game before playoffs in Remer Tuesday, Oct. 14 against Laporte.
