Opioid settlement fund applications to remediate opioids in Cass County
Walker MN- Cass County Board of Commissioners and Cass County Opioid Settlement Committee of the Board have opened Round 3 Opioid Settlement Fund Applications to remediate opioids in Cass County, MN effective immediately. Community organizations and partners are invited to apply including schools, health care providers, treatment and recovery providers.
Cass County is looking to use the funds to help establish new, sustainable programs or to expand existing programs that will aid the community in remediation of opioids using the category strategies that are defined by the Minnesota Opioids State-Subdivision and Memorandum of Agreement.
This is a competitive funding application with a total estimated $250,000 in Round 3. The application deadline is on November 14, 2025, and will remain open until the total estimated funds are allocated. The funding period is January 1, 2026, or after as approved by the Cass County Board through December 31, 2026. The estimated award is up to $50,000. No matching funds are required. Recipients of the funds will be announced at the Cass County Board meetings.
The application for the funds is available on the Cass County website www.casscountymn.gov along with an Opioid Abatement Strategies resource.

The funding is provided by a multi-million-dollar settlement with the state of Minnesota with opioid distributors and manufacturers. Cass County is expecting to receive $3.3 Million between 2022 and 2038.
