The Hackensack Retail Group, a collaboration of 19 local businesses, has announced a full schedule of events to brighten the months ahead. The group, known for working together to promote Hackensack and create experiences for residents and visitors, will begin its fall and winter celebrations in October.
The fun kicks off with Fallfest on Saturday, October 4. Families can start the day at the Deep Portage Learning Center with a hike and a climb up the tower to take in the fall colors. Back in town, businesses will feature specials, along with contests, hay wagon rides, and plenty of food to enjoy.
November 8 brings the Doe Opener Take and Make. Shoppers will visit businesses to collect craft pieces, then gather at Rendezvous Brewing to put the project together while enjoying refreshments.
The popular Hallmark in Hackensack returns on December 6. Many businesses will open their doors to local vendors, giving shoppers the chance to browse handmade gifts and unique items. Holiday Open Houses will also be part of the weekend, making it a festive start to the season.
In the new year, Back to Hack will take place January 16–18, 2026, offering a weekend filled with activities and highlighted by a bonfire and fireworks on Saturday night.
February’s event will honor Paul Bunyan’s birthday with a Birthday Bash on February 14. March 14 brings the Feeling Lucky promotion, with deals throughout town. On April 4, shoppers can take part in April Fools’ Bingo, collecting stamps by finding “foolish” objects hidden in businesses. Completed bingo cards will be entered into a drawing for local gift cards.
The Hackensack Hub will also join in the fun each month except October, hosting vendors from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and serving lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. during each event.
With something new planned each month, the Hackensack Retail Group invites the community to shop local, connect with neighbors, and enjoy all the season has to offer.
