   The Pine River Area Talent, LLC (PRAT) non-profit organization was established to identify, recruit, and provide recognition to local talent of all types. In October 2023, PRAT presented the George Barclay Murder Mystery, which was a huge success, with a sellout audience that required an additional performance. George Barclay is recognized as the founder of the city of Pine River. The story was based on the coroner’s inquisition on the murder of George Barclay from the book Murder and Mayhem, True Crime Accounts Cass County 1897-1938 by Renee Geving and Cecelia McKeig. 

   PRAT will be presenting an enhanced version of the play on November 2, 2025, in Pine River and is seeking individuals who are interested in playing the roles of those who gave testimony at the inquisition. Both male and female roles are available, and no memorization is necessary.
