September 24, 1925
Longville will have one of the most modern school buildings in the Unorganized District. Contracts were let for an up-to-date electric lighting plant.
Maud Snell of Boy River was a caller in Federal Dam on Saturday.
Miss Blanch Johnson is teaching at the Twin Lake school at Inguadona.

September 24, 1950
Mrs. Grace Vosburgh spent the weekend at Federal Dam and returned to Pine River where she is teaching this year.
Ronald Garner has returned to Longville after attending a Diesel school in California for the past year.
Edna Grace Mather, daughter of Mrs. Edwin Berger of Brevik, was married to John David Connell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Connell of Boy River on Saturday.

September 25, 1975
Adult Recreation Night starts October 7th and every Tuesday night at the Longville Elementary school. Activities begin with mixed volleyball.
The Longville Community Church, United Church of Christ, will celebrate its 50th anniversary on October 5th.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Carroll moved from Remer to Pine River and sold their home to Edith Remus.

Mobile classrooms are piling up at the Remer Elementary as current facilities no longer meet the demands of student enrollment.
The Northland Community schools have been honored for their school forest in Longville. The Department of Natural Resources bestowed them with the honor of “Forest of the Millenium”.
Three RSVP volunteers were honored at the 18th Annual RSVP Recognition program recently held at the Salem Lutheran church: Frank Nye, Hackensack; Elaine Sundin, Cass Lake; and Pat Butler of Longville.
