Fred Saunders, 62, was raking hay with his team in Hackensack when he was killed by his runaway team of horses.
George Engebretson sold his farm in Boy River and will move to their new home in Longville where he is employed by the State Forestry.
Edwin Sawyer of Blind Lake left Friday for examination at Ft. Snelling.

Bob Walavich and 3 buddies from Chicago are spending the week with Bob’s folks, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Walavich of Minni-Tee-Pee resort and doing some fishing.
Nettie Brady returned home to Longville on September 5th from her trip to Germany where she visited her son Tom and family.
Gary Dieckman and Alice Wagenbach were married September 11. A reception followed at Wi Wi Ta Lodge on Woman Lake. A wedding cake was baked by Dorothea Felton.

Marie Jacobson, 89, died Sept. 21st. She was born to August and Elsie (Schwenk) Toffle in Boy River and attended school there. Burial was in Fairview cemetery in Remer.
The Land of Lakes Girl Scout Council recently reappointed Jodi Archer of Remer as the Volunteer Community Coordinator.
Remer Congregational UCC chose Harold Brown, Vern Chenevert and Hugh Perkins as Cornerstone Disciples for the year.
