   Nancy Letson, age 77, of Prior Lake, MN, passed away on September 4, 2025.

   A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., with closing words at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Ballard Sunder Funeral & Cremation, 4565 Pleasant St SE Prior Lake, MN. Nancy will be laid to rest privately by her family at St. Michael Cemetery.

   Nancy Letson was born in Minneapolis and raised in Richfield, MN. Siblings in order are Gary, David, Linda and then Nancy, who graduated from Richfield High School. Nancy and Linda, with some of the kids down the street, would often put on plays for the neighborhood. Nancy was a lifeguard but never learned how to swim. Nancy was an inspector at Control Data in the Avionics Dept for over 25 years, but her best part of the day was the night when she could be home with her husband Mike.

   Mike and Nancy met when they were young teenagers, their first date was one of snipe hunting. After spending the night in a brothel in Georgia the Military Reverend and his altar boy drove them across state lines into North August, South Carolina to marry them. Married on September 5th, 1966. On March 28, 1967, they had their first child, Joseph, who was the absolute joy of their lives. Once Mike left Viet Nam, they moved back home to Minnesota to be near family. On May 1st, 1975, their second child, Amy, was born. It has been known to many that Mike, Nancy and Joe had worked hard and played hard and then... she came along.

   Nancy and Mike have 5 grandchildren who all argue about who was the favorite but secretly Nancy loved them all just the same (to infinity). Nancy and Mike attended every football, softball, soccer, baseball games and choir concert, car races, confirmations and never missed a thing for any one of them.

   Before settling in at Control Data, Nancy had several jobs including Big Boy where her sister-in-law hired her. She drove a bus for senior citizens and at one time drove a double clutch school bus. Nancy taught all 5 of her grandchildren how to drive a car, which is terrifying because she was not that good of a driver herself.

   Mike and Nancy made many moves in their lives but finally found their dream home on Prior Lake in 1989. As a couple Mike and Nancy enjoyed traveling, playing cards (especially cribbage), boating, hosting holidays, family and music. In this family it appears that music is the tie that binds.    Her nieces and nephews said they will always remember at church on Christmas Eve that Nancy brought bells (jingle bells) for every member of the family and sometimes families sitting next to them.

   Some words used to describe Nancy are loyal, respectful, moral, fun, loving and sassy. She loved a good curly potato chip and Elvis Presley, she never met a cookie she didn’t like, she never heard a song she couldn’t sing, and she will be greatly missed by her family.

   Nancy is survived by her husband Mike; children Joe (Leslie), Amy (Billy); grandchildren, Ashlee, Brady (Hailey), Blake, Spencer and Alejandro; great grandchildren, Jayce, Mason and Preslee; brother, Gary (Martie); in-laws, Pat Glockner, Jeanette (Michael), Denny (Rosalie), Kathy (Ray), Mike (Mary), Kathy Nordstrom, and Nancy Jr. and many other loving family members and friends.

   She is preceded in death by her parents, Ken and DeLoris Glockner; mother in-law, Margaret Letson; brother, David Glockner; sister, Linda Ruth; brother in-laws, James Letson and James Nordstrom.
