Benefit Dinner to Support the Hackensack Community Food Shelf
On Wednesday, September 17, from 5:00–6:00 PM, the doors of Union Congregational Church will open for more than just a delicious dinner. They’ll open to support one of Hackensack’s most important non-profit organizations for an evening of hope, support, and community with all profits going towards ensuring that no one in our area goes hungry. This one-hour event offers more than a meal; it offers an opportunity to make a real difference.
While many of us walk through grocery store aisles without a second thought, too many in our community face difficult choices every day. That being having to choose between paying bills or buying groceries, between feeding their kids or going without themselves. That’s why the Hackensack Community Food Shelf is so important to our area. This vital 501(c)(3) nonprofit collects, stores, and distributes food to local individuals and families experiencing hardship. It’s more than a food source, it’s a symbol of compassion, community, and support.
You’ll be treated to a delicious home-cooked meal prepared by UCC’s own Tammy Lindberg, featuring meatloaf, mashed potatoes, fresh salad, soft buns and homemade desserts that are over the moon. The kind of meal that nourishes both the heart and a great cause.
Come be part of the solution. Let’s break bread together with good food, good company, and support this amazing organization. Whether you bring your appetite, your generosity, or both, your presence will make an impact. Together, we can help put food on every table. We hope to see you there!
