   Faith in Action for Cass County is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathy Langer as its new Executive Director. To celebrate this exciting transition, the organization invites the community to an Open House on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Faith in Action for Cass County Office, located in Hackensack, Minnesota.

   Community members, volunteers, and partners are encouraged to stop by, enjoy light refreshments, connect with Faith in Action staff and volunteers, welcome Kathy on her new role, and learn more about the organization’s mission, programs and volunteer opportunities.

   “We are thrilled to welcome Kathy to Faith in Action,” said Craig Wadzink, Board Chair of Faith in Action for Cass County. “Her leadership experience, compassion, and commitment to community service make her an excellent fit to guide our mission, so effectively built by our retiring Executive Director Theresa Eclov, of connecting volunteers with neighbors in need; to remain living safely and independently in their homes.”

   Kathy Langer brings over 25 years as Executive Director focusing on public service, community engagement, and leadership to her new role. She looks forward to building on Faith in Action’s strong foundation of “neighbors-helping-neighbors” initiatives across Cass County.

   “I am honored to join such a dedicated team and a caring community,” said Langer. “Faith in Action’s volunteers and supporters truly make a difference in the lives of so many, and I’m excited to continue that tradition of sincere compassion and connection.” Kathy also stated: “I look forward to bringing my experience and enthusiasm about public service to FIACC from my new home in rural Longville.”

   Faith in Action for Cass County connects compassionate volunteers with people in need to help them remain independent in their homes and community. Services include transportation, friendly visits, building handicap ramps, and help with basic household tasks...all provided by local volunteers.
