Oct. 8, 1925
Oscar Iverson, Alfred Berger and Lamont Crandall came home to Kego Monday. They have been working in Dakota since August 1st.
Miss Pauline Colby of Onigum, departed for Washington, D.C., Boston, and New York where she will spend the winter.
A fire at Federal Dam destroyed the Lee Shoemaker and Hiram McNair homes. It was just hard work that the Simpson home was saved.

Robert James Rice, 22, and Charlotte Mary Bedeau, 17, applied for a marriage license and Joy Wright, 20, and Marion Partridge, 19, Walker.
PFC David Carpenter is on a month’s leave which he is spending with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Harry Carpenter of Longville.
Angus Turiff, well known resident of Hackensack died Sept. 30th. He married Mary Garrity in 1892. He located to a farm in Birch Lake township in 1922.

The US Air Force has promoted Kelly Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Adams of Longville to the rank of Airman First Class, He is serving at MacDill AFB in Florida as an aircraft maintenance specialist.
Hackensack has a new family clothing business, “The Yellow Brick Road” opened for business on October 10th.
Mary Wheeler of Woman Lake attended the VFW meeting in Longville on Tuesday at the home of Mary Slagle.

The Norwegian who married an Amish woman drove her buggy.
Dottie Waterhouse and Elna Sumption served the Friends of the Library fall brunch at the YAH Club in Longville, Brunch was prepared by Isobel Brown.
This year Salem Lutheran Church donated $600 to camps in the area: Luther Dell Bible Camp of Remer, ELCA Camp Patmos of Hackensack, YMCA Camp Olson of Longville, and Miracle Bible Camp on Woman Lake.
