   Faith in Action for Cass County celebrated a successful raffle fundraiser with the Raffle Drawing held November 13, 2025, at Rendezvous Brewery in Hackensack. A group of volunteers and community members were present to nibble on soup and snacks and witness the drawing event. At 5:00 p.m. Hackensack Faith in Action Receptionist Cheri Henne gave the raffle drum several good spins and drew out the 17 winning tickets. FIA Board Chair Craig Wadzink assisted with announcing the winners.

    After the drawing, a call was made to the Grand Prize winner, Greg Gilsrud of Longville, MN, who was surprised and excited to be the winner. Gilsrud purchased his red winning ticket from Faith in Action Volunteer Dennis Abbott at the Turtle Races in Longville this summer.

   The top ticket sellers were Faith in Action Volunteers Dennis and Paul Abbott, Marilyn Bonk, Jeanne Blomme and Doug Wardell, and local business Southside Station of Hackensack. “The businesses and volunteers are what makes this raffle fundraiser was a huge success – we couldn’t do it without them.” stated Executive Director Kathy Langer.  “A big Thanks! to all our ticket sellers for their efforts!!” 

   The raffle is Faith in Action’s largest fundraiser of the year and proceeds from the raffle directly support the Faith in Action programs helping people in need in Cass County.  Faith in Action provides transportation, grocery shopping, meal delivery, chores, and builds ramps for the elderly, disabled, and those in need or experiencing a crisis. A wheelchair van is also available to provide rides to appointments, errands, food shelf, and shopping.
