   The Friends of the Longville Library invites all community members to attend our Annual Meeting on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the Margaret Welch Memorial Library. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the work we do in support of the library, and how you can get involved. 

   At the meeting, we’ll discuss our 2025 fundraising efforts, plans for upcoming book sales, and begin planning for 2026. We’ll also be electing board members, and welcome anyone interested in lending a hand; whether by serving on the board, volunteering at events, or simply sharing ideas and enthusiasm. The board seats up for election are Vice President, Treasurer, and Member at Large. These are all two-year terms. We have two board meetings per year, one all member meeting, and our summer book sales. 

   Membership is just $10 per household annually, and all membership dues and donations go directly toward library programs, materials, and special projects that benefit the entire community.

   The Friends of the Library group plays a vital role in supporting programming, services, and enhancements to the library. Our success depends on the dedication of volunteers and the support of our generous community. If you’ve ever considered joining, this is a great time to learn more.
