Longville Lakes Arts Alliance debuts ‘A Wild Walk Through the Woods’ exhibit
Join the Longville Lakes Arts Alliance Saturday, July 5, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Longville Lakes Arts Center to celebrate our new exhibit “A Wild Walk Through the Woods”. It’s a family affair! The branch doesn’t fall far from the tree for this mother-daughter trio. Meet this uniquely creative, talented family at our opening reception - Stephanie Johnson and her daughters Angie Arden and Kimberly Krulas. Nature enthusiasts, artists, and family come together in this collaboration, inviting their audience to “take a gentle walk on the wild side”.
The exhibit offers an exploration of long-ago family memories spent in the Longville lakes region and Lake Inguadona, as an immersive visual art experience with a poetic narrative trail twist! “Our work together in this collection reflects our value of nature and love of art combined. Our hope for this series of work is that it energizes a new passion for getting outdoors, as we did as a family with the fondest of memories.”
Artists Stephanie Johnson, Angie Arden and Kim Krulas recognize the significant role of early experiences with respect to wild lands and wildlife in inspiring creativity and encouraging a sense of belonging with nature. The exhibit runs through July 26.
