   It was another beautiful day on the course at Tianna Country Club, where local golfers teed off in a creative game of “Royal Flush.”

   Each foursome member drew a playing card—Ace, King, Queen, or Jack—at the start of the round. At each hole, golfers checked an envelope attached to the flagstick to reveal which card’s score would be used for the team on that hole. One lucky hole included a joker, allowing the team to use their best score from the foursome.

   Emerging as the top team in the Royal Flush format were Sandy Emery, Jan Gandy, Kim Konerza and Kathy Trimble, who carded the lowest score of the day.

   There were several pars by three individuals, Paula Pederson had pars on No. 11 and No. 14, Joyce Rief had a par on No. 15 and Catherine Hansen had pars on No. 12, 14 and also on 15.
