June 25, 1925
H.D. Bloyer and son Bob of Remer were in Federal Dam Tuesday connecting up the lighting plant in the Simpson filling station.
Longville seems to have a ball team that can win on their own grounds anyway.
Adolph Metzer has sold his farm in Inguadona to Mr. Berg of Backus who expects to move in soon.

June 9, 1950
A wedding dance in Boy River in honor of Mr. and Mrs. George Russell was well attended Friday night.
Leo Jordan, of Longville, was an employee of the State Highway Department from 1922 to 1950. He retired due to ill health. He died late Sunday afternoon.
Remer, the turkey capital of Cass County, had 30,000 turkeys viewed by an Extension Veterinarian at the Stuart Reasoner farm.

Congratulations are in order for Vicki Lego and Wally Peterson who were married at Federal Dam on June 7th.
Bob and Brenda Manders made a business trip to Park Rapids on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Pospischal of Jamestown, ND, were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Mert Lego in Federal Dam.

Mildred MacAdams, 84, of Bena died July 11th. She was born in Ball Club. She was a teacher’s aide for 12 years in the Bena School system.
Winners of the Longville car show held Saturday were 1st. Jack Schmidt with his 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air convertible; Karen Wersal of Remer with her 1926 Model T. Ford; and 3rd Roger Novak of Longville with his 1967 Sprite.
The Longville Lakes Clinic sign got a floral facelift thanks to the Longville Area Women of Today who planted flowers from the A to Z Nursery & Garden Center.
