   The American Legion Auxiliary held their 105th State Convention at the Willmar Convention Center July 10-12, 2025. Auxiliary members from Hackensack American Legion Auxiliary Unit 202 attending were Shirley Frederick and Nancy Albrecht.

   Judy Ackerman of Northrop Unit 522, State President of the American Legion Auxiliary presided. The Honorable Mayor Doug Reese of Willmar and Northwestern Division National Vice President Debra Albers from Nebraska brought greetings to the convention body. Hackensack Unit 202 received Certificates of Merit for the following programs:  Americanism, Auxiliary Emergency Fund, Education, Leadership, National Security, Past President’s Parley, Poppy, Public Relations, Senior History and Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation. They also received 3 Presidents’ Awards of Excellence for Leadership, Legislation, and VA and R.  Five plaques were awarded to Hackensack: Ruth Hutton Plaque, Pierce J Clark plaque, Marie Harding Plaque, Past President’s Parley best unit report Plaque, and the Women’s History Activity Award for the most outstanding senior activity to celebrate “Women’s History in the month of March 2025”.  

   The newly elected officers for 2025-2026 American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Minnesota are President, Robin Dorf, from Monticello Unit 260; 1st Vice President, Linda Kelly from Pine Island Unit 184 and 2nd Vice President, Jody Hassing from Bloomington Unit 550. 

   Rob Albrecht attended the 106th State Convention also held at the Willmar Convention Center July 10-12. Caucus meetings were held and Committee Reports were given.Elections and installation of new officers was held. Linda Dvorak was installed as 2026 Minnesota American Legion Commander.
