Meet award-winning Minnesota authors in Hackensack

   The Northwoods Art and Book Festival is celebrating its 30th Anniversary on August 9th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Lake Avenue, east of highway 371 in Hackensack. For this free one-day event, the festival will bring back your favorite artists and authors and introduce you to new ones. Award-winning Minnesota authors covering multiple genres will be in attendance. In honor of the 30th anniversary, there will be a raffle drawing four times during the day. Thirty authors have signed and donated books for the raffle. You don’t want to miss Author Laura Hern’s exciting and informative presentation, “Insurance Investigator Turns Amateur Sleuth.” She will share her writing expertise on how to write cozy mysteries. The presentation will take place at 11:00 a.m. in the United Congregational Church (UCC) Sanctuary. The following authors will be available for book signings and selling in the UCC Friendship Hall from 9:00 to 3:00.
