Mrs. Lee Orton is spending this week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bragg, at Walker.
Earl Bluhm and Herman Zumbrunnen of Trelipe left Monday for the Dakota harvest fields.
Morris Patton of Remer supplied the Walker camp in Wabedo with gas on Sunday.

July 14, 1950
Gilbert Jordan, 28, and George Taylor, Jr., 22, both of Onigum, are taking part in the Paul Bunyan Canoe Derby this year.
Glenn Bennett and sons and Bob Bakker and family and Cornelius Bakker, all spent Sunday at the Turtle Lake home of Henry Bakker and helped to dig a trench for water piping.
Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Fairbanks entertained about 40 guests at a turtle stew dinner in Federal Dam on Sunday.

July 24, 1975
Minnesota Indian Boxing coaches, boxers, fans and sponsors are invited to participate in a planning meeting for the 1976 Minnesota Indian Boxing tournament.
Volunteers are needed to assist in Sunday School at St. John’s Onigum mission.
A month-long series of June rains and storms, followed by three weeks of bright heat and drouth conditions, has generated problems for wild rice harvesters.

George Williams and help from Friends of Fairview, tombstones will be reset, graves marked and a sign installed to identify Remer cemetery by its correct name, Fairview.
Vern Underhill was born Oct. 16, 1917, near Longville to Archie and Maude (Starling) Underhill. He was a logger by trade and logged for Wheeler Lumber Bridge and Supply Co. and also worked for the lumber yard in Longville, as well as farming. He died July 16th.
