   In conjunction with community-wide Garage Sale Days, the Friends of the Pine River Library will hold the second installment of their 2025 summer book sale series on Friday and Saturday, August 1 and 2. The sale will take place in the Commercial Building at the Cass County Fairgrounds in Pine River, with hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

   Shoppers are invited to browse a wide selection of hardcovers, paperbacks, books on CD, DVDs and puzzles, with many newly donated items added to the collection. Materials are neatly sorted by category, including fiction, non-fiction, large print, children’s, junior, young adult, westerns, Christian fiction, science fiction and fantasy, antiques and more.

   The sale operates on a free-will donation basis. Proceeds will help support library programs, facility improvements, and community outreach efforts.
