   The Hackensack Hub’s July speaker is DNR Conservation Officer Jacqueline Johnson, who will give an informative talk on the local bear population. Her presentation begins at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, at the Hackensack Hub on South First Street.

   The afternoon kicks off with a community potluck at noon, and everyone is welcome to attend either or both parts of the event. Bring your curiosity, and maybe a favorite bear story, to share during the discussion.
