   Be proactive and find a christmas gift for your loved ones at the Christmas in July event on Tuesday, July 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 305 10th Street So., Walker. You’ll find handmade crafts, baked goods, a quilt raffle, and more. A lunchean will be held, too. (The event is free. The cost for the luncheon is $15 for adults and $5 for children under 10 years old). 

   Proceeds donated to support Walker-Hackensack-Akeley school children and youth programs, Boys & Girls Club, Walker-area Food Shelf, Faith in Action, Family Safety Network, Second Harvest, food boxes and Lutheran World Relief.
