The Longville Fire Department recently held a ice rescue exercise on the Boy River in Longville. The ice rescue boat was purchased with funds donated by the Longville Area Community Foundation. This specialized boat features a through-hull lifesaving design, allowing rescuers to pull someone from the water directly through the hull, rather than lifting them over the gunwale.
