   Are you a Thrivent member wondering how to use your membership benefits to make a difference in your church or community? Or perhaps you’ve heard of Thrivent’s Action Teams and Choice Dollars but aren’t quite sure how they work?

   You’re invited to attend a Thrivent Informational Meeting at Salem Lutheran Church on Wednesday, August 27, at 5:00 p.m. This gathering will provide an opportunity to learn how Thrivent has been making a positive impact right here in our community, and how you can get involved.

How Thrivent Has Helped Locally

   Through Action Team events, Thrivent has funded a variety of community projects. For example:

   • Supported the Community Garden by purchasing butterflies for pollination, lilac bushes to help prevent erosion, and strawberries — all planted by volunteers.

   • Provided quilt backing for the Loving Hands Quilt Club.

   • Supplied resources for the Longville Food Shelf.

   • Helped fund Community Meals and Veteran’s Dinners at Salem Lutheran.

   • Contributed to Community Choir and Music in the Park events.

   Choice Dollars offer another way for members to give back. Thrivent members receive Choice Dollars to donate to eligible charities. Locally, these funds have supported:

   • Music in the Park

   • Longville Food Shelf

   • Walker Library

   • Longville Skating  Rink

   • And many other community programs

   This event is informational only — there will be no product sales. Come enjoy refreshments, learn how your membership can make a difference, and hear inspiring stories about how Thrivent has partnered with members to strengthen our community.
