Hackensack Firefighters Andy Bray and Jeff Woodruff presented excellent information to the 25 guests gathered at the Hackensack Hub on August 21. The audience learned that most of their homes probably had extinguishers more than seven years old and that their extinguishers may not work anymore. Details on the types of extinguishers and the types of fires they will extinguish vary. As consumers, those gathered were advised to check the dates and upgrade to new ones if needed.
