Cindy Thompson and Lynn Remington have been named the Remer Area Ambulance Service 2025 EMTs of the Year. Cindy joined RAAS in February 2020 after retiring, inspired by a flyer and a lifelong desire to help others. She says learning medical skills gave her confidence in emergencies and allows her to comfort patients in difficult moments. Lynn began her path in early 2020 after meeting a first responder and deciding to take an EMR class, later earning her EMT license in 2021. She says giving back to her community is deeply meaningful. Both credit the welcoming team, hands-on training, and camaraderie at RAAS as key to their growth and success. Photo submitted.
