Miss Elizabeth Clark of Inguadona is staying at Diamond Crest Lodge.
The Longville band met at the Geo. Kline home in Wabedo Wednesday night for band practice.

August 11, 1950
Members of the Longville Community Church choir motored to Remer where they assisted the Remer choir in a program of the great hymns of the church.
Several young folks from Boy River had a grand tine Sunday at Boy Lake where they had a wiener roast and then went swimming.
Several people from Wahnena attended the Annual Indian Pow Wow which was held at the St. Joseph Mission Church at Ball Club.

The 3rd Annual Mahnomeneekaygeezis powwow (wild rice gathering moon) will be held August 23rd and 24th at the Onigum pow-wow grounds.
Mr. and Mrs. B.E. Churchill of Remer wish to announce the approaching marriage of their daughter Joan to Greg Hinz, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Ben Hinz of Longville.
Mrs. Lona Atwood and her guests went out on the fishing launch Tuesday. Gary Neururer put out the word that they had a 91-year-old woman fishing so when the launch docked at noon, there was a double line of spectators to watch her disembark.

Loralie Young, a student at Northland High School in Remer recently attended Minnesota Business Venture, a summer business and career camp. Minnesota Power awarded her a scholarship to attend the camp held at St. John’s University.
Rusty Lilyquist, Longville native, opened Rusty’s Up North Realty on Inguadona Lake. He is also a professional musky guide and designer of Lilytail fishing lures.
Genuine happiness is when a wife sees a double chin on her husband’s old girlfriend.
