Gary Lee Knox 77 of Federal Dam, MN. He was Born in Minneapolis, MN. on June 11, 1948, and passed on July 31, 2025.
A Celebration of life will be held on August 16, 2025, 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at The US Army Corp of Engineers campground in Federal Dam, MN.
Gary Served in the Navy from 1966 to 1972, three tours in the Vietnam war, then returned to Omaha, NE where he met his wife Linda of 53 years, they welcomed daughter Angie in 1975 and Lori in 1978.
Gary was a hard worker, employed at Control Data in Omaha, NE, Dyson in Colorado Springs, CO then Alcoa Aluminum in Sidney, OH. Then returned to Minnesota and purchased Battle Point Lodge on Leech Lake in June of 1988. In 2003 became the owner of Remer Lumber before retiring in 2017.
Gary loved duck hunting, fishing, being outside and teaching his grandchildren how to catch walleye.
Gary is survived by his wife Linda, Daughters Angie (John) Webb, and Lori (Josh) Giffen. Grandchildren Brionna, Hunter, Macie, Bailey, Peyton, Jakobey and 3 great grandchildren. Brother Ed (Janet) Knox, Sisters Nancy Schuster, Sandi Williams and Peggy (Ken) Gilliland. And good friend Linda Monette.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, brother Greg, brother-in-law Michael Schuster and Maureen.
