From last year’s Corn Feed, volunteers work quickly to shuck hundreds of ears of sweet corn in preparation for the Emily, Outing, Fifty Lakes “Lakers Lions” Annual Corn Feed. This year’s 36th annual event will be held Friday and Saturday, Aug. 16 – 17, at the Pickled Loon Saloon in Emily, featuring all-you-can-eat corn-on-the-cob, pork-on-a-stick, live music, vendors, raffles and family activities. Proceeds benefit the Lakers Lions’ scholarship program, supporting local students in their educational goals. File photo.
