Mr. and Mrs. Leo Renn and children of Remer were callers in Federal Dam Monday.
A feller at Remer named Renn went out after duck with some men while the rest of the crew, all combined, just got two, he managed to carry home 10.

George Partridge, 21, and Arlene Stately, 18, of Walker applied for a marriage license.
Robert Kline, 22, and Wanda Brower, 17, of Longville, applied for a marriage license.
Russell Lego, Federal Dam, filed Tuesday morning for re-election as Chairman of the Unorganized School Board of Cass County.

Troop 319 Junior Girl Scouts and Troop 310 Brownie Scouts of Longville went to Day Camp at Cross Lake from June 16 to June 20th.
Army Specialist Five Oscar Nyvall, 20, son of Russ Nyvall of Longville, was awarded a Certificate of Achievement while serving with the 396th Transportation Company in Germany.
Mary Kennedy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kennedy of Longville, and Mark Swanson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Swanson of Federal Dam, are being married at the Salem Lutheran Church in Longville on August 16th

Leech Lake Dam was host to the 19th Annual Kid’s Fishing Derby which the US Army Corps of Engineers held below the dam. 119 children from the area participated.
High Tech Milling Corp. of Remer is looking to hire 2 full-time positions in their heated building.
The Remer Trading Post team captured the Hill City Softball League championship.
