On Saturday, August 2, Alissa (Lou Lou) Wheeler’s nieces and nephews were hanging out together at Wheeler Marine south of Longville and decided to have an impromptu lemonade stand. They served lemonade and strawberry lemonade to thirsty passers by. Last year, they used their profits to attend Disney together. This year, they decided to donate the money to Lou Lou’s Pet Pantry, in honor of Auntie Lou Lou, raising $239. Lou Lou’s Pet Pantry is located inside the Longville Food Shelf and is a way of honoring the memory of Alissa Wheeler’s kindness, compassion and belief that no pet should go hungry due to financial hardship.
