April 28, 1926
Yeggmen entered the general store of Ernest Flemming at Bena Tuesday and burned their way into the vault and safe with acetylene tanks that had been stolen from a garage near the Cities. They got away with $7.50 cash, a Marlin repeating rifle, and 21 jack knives.
After an 8 months trial, the new post office at Whipholt is to become a permanent institution. A call for bids for delivery of mail between Whipholt and Walker is posted.
Henry Bonga, Frank Smith, Albert Chief and a few other young men put in a good days work cleaning up back of the Episcopal church and around the Guild Hall at Onigum.

April 25, 1951
Mr. and Mrs. Wilder from Clarion, Iowa returned to their Camp Long Bay Resort on Ten Mile Lake.
Mr. and Mrs. Neil Dewey of Turtle Lake township purchased the apartment house next to the fire hall in Walker.
Mr. Charles Harder is still at the University Hospital where he has been for some time with an infection in his leg.

April 24, 1976
Helen Sartell, age 58, of Longville died April 15th. She came to Longville in 1950 with her husband Karl and family where they purchased Sartell Hardware. Karl preceded her in death in 1963.
The Remer Civic Club had an Easter egg hunt at Wayside Park in Remer for children three through 10 on April 17th.
Mr. and Mrs. Guerney Brown of Hackensack, announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Betty Ludell to Sonny Stephens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Stephens of Pine River.

Marie Elsie Jondahl died April 16th. She was born September 14, 1912. She married Andrew Jondahl, and they had a daughter, Helen Mae. They moved to California but moved back to Federal Dam in 1954 where they owned Jondahl’s Grocery and Café until 1973.
A Cass County feller named Stowe, once went to St. Paul to a show. As the show was burlesque, Mr. Stowe said, “I guess, I’ll sit in the baldheaded row”.
