Hackensack Hub looking for new leadership
The Hackensack Hub is looking for new leadership for the next two years and the annual meeting is coming up on May 18. The Hub has been operating without leadership , and it is imperative that we go back to a full board again. The current board members have been operating since 2014, and we need to find some new people to fill a leadership role.
The Hub is open to serving the community families and Senior population. It has been serving the community seniors, along with renting out the building to many different groups in the community such as Life Line screening, The Lions board and general meetings, AARP tax prep, garden classes, along with birthday parties, Woodtick wheelers, memorial gatherings, and board meetings for various organizations, plus much much more. The building gets used on a regular basis and fills a need in the community. The Hub is self supporting and owned by the members.
We need to find a new board by the annual meeting in May or the Hub will have to be dissolved and close it’s doors. We don’t think the community is ready to lose this space, as the closure would be permanent and The Hub will no longer exist, so if you could step up and serve as president, vice president, secretary or treasurer we would like to hear from you. You can call Myra Damm at 218-820-0258.
