HLACF accepting grant applications through April 15
The Hackensack Lakes Area Community Foundation (HLACF), a partner fund of the Initiative Foundation, is now accepting grant applications for projects that will enhance the quality of life for individuals and families in the Hackensack and Backus areas.
Qualifying applicants must be a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, a school district, or a local unit of government that serves the city of Hackensack or Backus or any of the nine surrounding townships: Birch, Deerfield, Hiram, Pine lake, Ponto, Powers, Shingobee South, Turtle Lake South, and Woodrow.
Projects should meet one of the following funding priorities: improve the quality and scope of educational programing to residents; promote community development and appearance; enrich the artistic and cultural climate; or increase and diversify recreational activities.
A application can be found on the Hackensack Lakes Area Community Foundation website. The link is hackensackfund.org. Select What We Do and then Grant Application. Select Start Application and follow the prompts. Download Grant Guidelines for additional information.
The deadline to apply is April 15. For questions about whether your project qualifies, email to [email protected].
