   Farmer’s markets are a great way to enjoy the outdoors, find great fresh food, browse handmade goods and support the local economy. All around the Lakeland area are markets, so look for one near you! 

   Longville has added a weekly farmer’s market every Tuesday until September 26. These will be held next to Common Grounds from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. 

   Backus also has it’s own farmers market at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church parking lot from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays. 

   Walker hosts two farmer’s markets a week, on Thursday and Saturday at Green Scene from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

   Pine River hosts a farmer’s market Fridays from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Chamber office and Depot.

   Last but not least, Remer holds a farmers market every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Soo Line Depot.

   No matter what town’s market you choose to attend, there will be plenty of goods to choose from.
