Hackensack Hub to hold leadership elections
The Hackensack Hub will be having annual election in May to appoint new leadership for the coming 2 years. Offices that are open will be president, vice president, secretary and treasurer plus a board member.
The Hub has been operating for the past three years without a full board. The current secretary and treasurer have served in this capacity since 2014 and would like to see someone else step up and take over the leadership of the Hub.
The Hub serves not only the seniors but also rents out the building to members of the community for use, and this rental is being done more every year. The building has the capacity to serve small numbers for meetings, but can hold up to 100 people for larger groups. The building is used for Lake Assoc. Meetings, garden classes, Life Line Screening, and AARP to name a few and many more groups use the facility.
In order for the building to continue to serve the community we must get new leadership. If you are interested in keeping this building open, we need five board members to step up.
If no one volunteers to be a board member, our only option is to close the Hub, and dissolve the 501-c3. At which time The Hub will cease to exist. That would happen at the annual meeting.
