Dick was born and raised in the Minneapolis area and graduated from North High. He married Minnie Keehr and had four children. The family started to come to The Big Deep in the late 60's and have had two homes there. The Clausen children and their children were raised on the lake and continue to enjoy it. So many have fond memories of all the fun that was had at the lake summer and winter.
Dick enjoyed his Arizona home, golfing, fishing, hunting, and was a great dancer. In recent years he could be seen in his white Corvette convertible enjoying his new club friends and road trips.
He is survived by his wife Beverly Kentner Clausen; children, Scott (Lisa), JoAnn Aiken, Earl, Ginny (Dana)Stanko; step-children, Steve (Denise Best) Kentner, Kathy (Kris) Fredrickson; brother, Craig (Linda) Clausen; sister, Debbie Lohi; and seven grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Minnie Keehr, his parents and son in law, Frank Aiken.
Dick was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Visitation with the family will begin at 11 a.m., on Sunday April 22, 2012, prior to his memorial service, at 1 p.m. (lunch to follow), at Cremation Society, 7110 France Ave. So., Edina, Minn.[[In-content Ad]]
