John was a friend of Bill W. He loved fishing and being on the computer. John enjoyed living at his home on the lake; he often referred to it as his little piece of heaven. "God's Country". When Joanne was still alive she and John enjoyed attending shows at the Wood Tick Theatre. Now they are reunited once again.
John is survived by his children: Anita Perkins of Crystal, Sandra Perkins of Oakdale, Mark Perkins of Rochester, Paul (Linda) Ellefson of Cambridge, and James (JoAnne) Ellefson of Northfield, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, brother; Dave Ellefson of Banner Elk, NC and one sister; Luetta (Harris) Hostager of Hackensack.
A Memorial Services for John will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Salem Lutheran Church in Longville with Rev. Paul Svingen officiating. Inurnment will be held at Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Longville following the service and light lunch at the church will follow services at the cemetery.
