Hackensack’s urban reconstruction project is ongoing, with work focused on the new roundabout at the intersection of Highway 371 and County Road 5, as well as continued reconstruction along Hwy. 371.

Years ago, when we first bought the farm, it was a rather wild and woolly patchwork of timber interspersed with open pasture. We ran cattle on the place and started the original trails as a means of getting from one point to another when checking the cows.

Longville man injured in crash
On July 17, 2025 at 11:51 a.m., the Minnesota State Patrol reported a crash on Highway 200 near Country Road 125.
Merrifield woman injured in crash
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on July 14, 2025 at 12:59 p.m., a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Anna Marie Damm, age 33 of Marrifield, MN was driving southbound on highway 6 near Ziers Lane, and entered the northbound lane.
Stuart Memorial Park celebrated
On Saturday, July 5, a ribbon cutting was conducted at Stuart Memorial Community Park to celebrate the remodeling of the current playground. To help celebrate, root beer floats were served.
