Cass County to host annual equipment auction

PINE RIVER-Cass County Board voted Tuesday to host the county's annual sale of surplus equipment online this fall.

Residents weigh in on levy for ditch maintenance

2018 preliminary levy, tax rate increase over 2017

WALKER-Cass County commissioners Tuesday set the county's preliminary 2018 levy at $22,307,860, or 2.49 percent higher than the $21,766,554 levied for 2017. The county's tax rate will rise 1.7 percent at that dollar amount to 32.29 percent, up from 31.74 percent this year.

Cass settles 3-year contract with sheriff's department union

WALKER-The Cass County Board Tuesday approved the last three-year union agreement with county employees to cover wages and employment terms through 2019.
