   Many things in life are completed with a single step. We graduate from school. We earn a driver’s license. We finish a project. We check a task off our list and move on.

   Our Catholic faith is different. 

   Whether you are just beginning to explore the Catholic Church, preparing to become Catholic, returning after many years away, or have been a faithful parishioner for decades, your relationship with God is meant to grow throughout your entire life. 

   Faith is not simply learning a set of beliefs and declaring, “I’m finished.” It is an ongoing invitation to know Jesus Christ more deeply, to understand Scripture more fully, to pray more intentionally, and to discover new ways to serve others. 

   Think about the things in life that are truly worthwhile—a strong marriage, a meaningful friendship, raising children, or mastering a craft. None of these are “one and done.” They require time, commitment, and a willingness to keep learning. Our relationship  with God is no different. 

   The Catholic Church offers countless opportunities for lifelong formation. Bible studies, book discussions, faith-sharing groups, retreats, educational presentations, and parish missions all help us continue growing in wisdom and holiness. Every stage of life  brings new questions and new opportunities to deepen our faith. 

   If you’re curious about becoming Catholic, this is the perfect time to begin asking questions. If you’re already Catholic, consider taking the next step in your own faith journey. There is always more to discover, more to understand, and more grace to receive. 

   Our upcoming OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) class offers a warm, welcoming, no-obligation space primarily for adults who are not Catholic but are curious about the Catholic faith, or seeking answers. We also invite people who are already Catholic and want to renew their faith. The course runs at Saint Agnes in Walker on Wednesday evenings from November 4th to March 17, with some breaks for Thanksgiving, Christmas, school events, etc. Classes run from 5:30-7:15 p.m. and include a free dinner each night. 

 The course covers what and why Catholics believe, how we worship, how we pray, and how we live our lives. There is no pressure to join the Catholic faith at OCIA, but if you decide to do that, you will receive the Catholic Sacraments upon completion of this course during the Easter season. 

   God never stops inviting us closer to Him. May we never stop responding to that invitation. Join us as we continue learning, growing, and walking together in faith. Your journey with Christ is not a destination to reach—it’s a lifelong adventure.
