Hackensack Foundation provides grant
The Hackensack Lakes Area Community Foundation is proud to support the Hackensack Community Garden’s solar watering project with a grant for $500. The days of hauling a generator to the garden to fill totes with water are behind them. The new solar powered pumping system provides water at the flip of a switch. Thanks to the hard work of garden manager Jim Etzel (pictured) for bringing this project to fruition. Photo Submitted.
