   Pine River Library is excited to announce the launch of a new book club designed especially for children ages 7–11. The program kicks off Monday, October 5 at 5:00 p.m. and will continue on the first Monday of each month.

   This isn’t your typical book club! Each session will give kids the chance to explore stories, discover new books, and have fun through a mix of reading, games, creative activities, challenges, and hands-on adventures throughout the library.

   Upcoming monthly themes will include Spooky Stories & Creepy Crafts, Books & Builders, Book Detectives, Books Blast Off!, Mystery at the Library, Fantasy Quest, Book vs. Movie, and more.

   Best of all, kids do not need to read a specific book ahead of time to participate. Every meeting combines reading with an exciting activity, making the program accessible and engaging for children with all kinds of reading interests and abilities.

Through the book club, children will have opportunities to:

   • Enjoy stories and lively book talks

   • Play games and take on fun reading challenges

   • Create crafts and other hands-on projects

   • Participate in library scavenger hunts

   • Discover books they may not have found on their own

   • Build confidence with library and reading skills

   • Connect with other kids who enjoy stories and adventures

   The goal is simple: help kids discover that reading can be an adventure—and the library is the perfect place to start.

   The first meeting will be held Monday, October 5 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Pine River Library, 212 Park Ave, Pine River, MN 56474. The program is intended for children ages 7–11, and registration is recommended to help staff prepare. Register by phone 218-587-4639 or email [email protected].
