The ramp was build by Doug Wardell and Bill Spaniol, Dan Motzko, Brad Running, Jim Richardson, Ed Oliver, Allan Campbell, Mike Bohanon and Denny Abbott, volunteers from Faith in Action who have built over 20 ADA approved handicap ramps during the last two years giving local residents the opportunity to enter and exit their homes safely.
This is an example of community engagement and expertise giving back to the community and providing all Hackensack residents and visitors equal access to a treasured historic public building. We are thankful for the generous donation to fund the purchase of all building materials. We are thankful for the enthusiastic willingness of the volunteers who stepped forward to complete this important aspect of library restoration.
