   100 Women Who Care of the Leech Lake Area continue to meet semi-annually to raise money in one hour in one evening for a local non-profit 501(c3). The winning non profit is selected through a process where there is a nomination by various non-profits (501c3 and then a vote by those present and who have made a monetary donation. (The “suggested”donation is $100.00).  

   The next giving event will be October 5, 2026 and will be held at Tianna Country Club, with registration starting at 5 p.m. and the 1 hour event starting at 5:30 p.m.  There will be a cash bar along with snacks. This will be the 9th giving event held by our local 100 Women, who to date have raised over $100,000 in the events already held since December 2022. 

   Recipients in the past have included the ARCC Women’s Shelter, the Walker Area  Food Shelf-(twice), Friends of the Walker Library, The Door, FIA (Faith In Action), the Arvig Walker Area Community Center and the Walker Fire Dept.
