September 23, 1926

   Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fee left Kego township for Virginia, MN this week where they expect to make their future home.

   Halvor Berger drove the school bus at the Boe school for a few days as substitute for Harry Aultman.

   Someone took a rowboat in Onigum belonging to George Ellis Monday night without asking for it.

September 28, 1951

   Richard Kolp of Hackensack and Barbara Huddle of Whipholt applied for a marriage license on September 15th.

Pfc. Robert Bray of Hackensack has completed his basic training in the Army Air Force and has been transferred to West Texas State College for a 12-week course. He has been placed as a clerk typist.

   Arlene Countryman and Sherman Preble were married in a candlelight ceremony at the Boy River Log Chapel on September 15th.

September 16, 1976

  A quiet wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Wolske on August 28th when Fern Miller, Federal Dam, and Edward Armbrust were united in marriage.

   Ruth Tobiason, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Tobiason, and Donald Frank of Wadena were united in marriage on September 1st.

   Jimmy Bailey, son of the Robert Baileys, was injured in a football game last week and may have surgery on his knee.

September 25, 2001 

   Bob Kennedy, gambling manager for the Hackensack American Legion Post 202, presents a $700 check to the Boy River Nutrition Center supervisor Linda Monette.

   John Gilmer died September 17th. He was born October 30, 1907, to Alexander and Elsie (Foster) Gilmer and attended school in Trelipe township. He married Alice Lohse on December 25, 1937. They farmed in Trelipe township for many years while John worked road construction, logged, and was Trelipe township supervisor and township clerk. He retired in 1986.

   Leora Belle Locke died September 15th. She was born in 1923 to Ed and Hazel (Bedbury) Menton at the Eleven Mile Corner where she also attended country school and later Remer High school. She married Bertie Locke in Remer in 1954.
