The Longville Area Women of Today are looking for home bakers to help continue a beloved community tradition: the annual Cookie Walk. For many years, generous local bakers have filled the tables with homemade cookies, bars, fudge and other holiday treats. As some longtime bakers pass along their aprons, organizers are inviting new volunteers to join the tradition.

Anyone who enjoys baking Christmas cookies or other holiday treats is encouraged to participate. Every batch helps support worthwhile causes in the community.

The annual Cookie Walk will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Longville. Baked goods can be dropped off Friday, Dec. 11, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church, which is a new location this year.

Those interested in baking or learning more can contact Melanie Mix at 218-259-3082 or Judy Mangum at 952-994-4907.

Local bakers are encouraged to lend a hand and help keep this sweet holiday tradition alive.
