   Barbara Jean Morris, 78 of Hackensack, MN formerly of Bemidji, MN died Saturday, October 17, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.

    Memorial services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, October 23, 2026 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Bemidji, MN. 

   Barbara was born October 6, 1948 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of Glenn and Jean (Nash) Shatzer.  She graduated from George Washington, Sr. high school in Cedar Rapids.  She attended NE Missouri State College in Kirksville, MO.  She met David Morris while attending there. Barb and Dave were married April 20, 1968 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at the St. Matthews Catholic Church. They lived in Centerville, IA waiting for Dave to finish his degree. They moved to State Center, IA after three months and lived there for 19 years before moving to Bemidji, MN in 1987.  She worked at St. Philip’s School for nine years then on to the middle school until her retirement. She enjoyed hunting agates, cooking, observing nature and being with her family. In Barb and Dave’s retirement years they have made their home in Hackensack.

   Barb is survived by her husband Dave Morris of Hackensack, sons Mike (Angela) Morris, Joe Morris, and Jeff Morris, all of Bemidji, and sister Wendy (Dave) Cline of Hackensack. She was preceded in death by her parents. Condolences may be left at ceasefuneralhome.com.
